The university parallel in Psychology is designed for students who intend to complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree program at Nashua Community College and then transfer to a four-year college or university to complete the bachelor's degree with a major in Psychology. The curriculum includes general education and other selected courses typically required in a bachelor's degree program in psychology.
Psychology is the wide-ranging scientific study and exploration of behavior and mental processes. Critical thinking skills are emphasized and developed. Psychology courses are an excellent complement to any profession or course of training that involves human interaction.
Students should be aware that careers in the field of professional psychology typically require a master's degree or doctoral degree, depending upon the career path selected.
