Veterans Assistance

Veterans Assistance

The goal of the VA Student Office at Nashua Community College is to assist veterans, reservists and guardsmen to succeed at NCC. We feel that effective communication is key to that end. Our office is here to assist you to locate the educational resources you need to achieve your goals.

Services include certification and academic advising for students utilizing GI Bill® Benefits.*

Enrollment verification for properly documented veteran-students is electronically reported to the Veteran Administration after the add-drop period for the college system.

VA funded students should see the School Certifying Official (SCO) of the College before taking any action affecting their enrollment status (such as course drops, adds, or non-passing grades). Failure to do so may result in termination of benefits and/or a debt letter from the VA.

All chapters should contact the SCO before adding a major. Additional information may be required by the VA before we can certify you for a second major. Some chapters do not allow dual enrollment.

Satisfactory progress toward completion must be maintained. See College Student Handbook for Academic Standing requirements. The SCO is required to report Academic Probation and Suspension to the VA.

Students must follow the course requirements listed in their curriculum for their stated program as the SCO can only report courses within that program.

Please see the VA Student Counselor if you need assistance or have questions.
