BIOL201N : Anatomy & Physiology I

This course introduces the chemical, cellular, tissue, and organ-level organization of the human body, emphasizing the relationship between structure and physiological function. Students explore major body systems—including integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous—focusing on how system components interact to maintain homeostasis. Hands-on laboratory experiences reinforce lecture topics through microscopy, anatomical identification, physiological experiments, and dissection of appropriate specimens, developing practical skills and scientific literacy. Prerequisite: Placement into college-level English and math; and a C or better in: high school biology, or BIOL105N; and high school chemistry, or CHEM110N or with permission from Program Coordinator.
