Associate in Science in General Studies
The General Studies program is designed for students who wish to pursue a flexible degree plan tailored to their specific educational or career goals. If you have earned credits at other colleges but have not completed a degree General Studies could be the path you need to get that valuable credential.

If you have career goals that cannot be met through another degree program, wish to sample various course offerings within degree programs to help guide your future, or have substantial prior learning consisting of credits from a post-secondary institution, training certifications, or experience that may equate to appropriate college credit, this program is for you. Upon the completion of the degree in General Studies, graduates will be able to:
- Articulate an understanding of the importance of life-long learning
- Find, interpret and evaluate information from a variety of sources and apply that knowledge through reasoned judgment and positive action
- Express oneself clearly and in a relevant manner, through written and oral communication.
- Employ both quantitative and qualitative reasoning to describe and solve problems.
- Demonstrate an understanding of complex issues and systems that affect how we live and manage our daily lives in the workplace and at home.
- Apply logical, critical, ethical, and creative processes and information to identify problems, evaluate alternative solutions, and make decisions.

Students who meet NCC’s general admission requirements are able to enroll in the General Studies degree program
