David Rondeau has been teaching since 2001 and has taught all of the psychology courses offered at NCC at some point during his career. Professor Rondeau shared this bio:
“Professionally, I started my career working at an inpatient psychiatric hospital. I then worked for 21 years in child protection for the state of Massachusetts. My career progressed over time to roles with increasing responsibility and was an Area Director responsible for the operations of an urban area office covering 30 communities with a staff of 120 child protective workers and staff when I left for NCC. That progression helped me study & develop management skills to compliment clinical knowledge. My combination of education, teaching and clinical work has enabled me to gain deep and diverse experiences clinically, culturally, in management, finance and program development which I bring to the classroom to provide a well rounded education to students..
I am a father of twins who have become incredible young adults. In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities & have enjoyed motor cycling, hiking, & scuba diving among my interests and I am also a long time video gamer & have also enjoyed strategic board and in person RPG games. I have had season tickets to most New England pro sports teams at times & attended at least one Super Bowl, World Series & NBA Finals game.
I feel honored to serve as the Psychology Program Coordinator & as the Chair of Social, Educational & Behavioral Sciences Department here at NCC. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with students and staff at NCC. I really do love teaching and advising students. I am one of the lucky individuals who gets to say, and mean, that ‘I love my job!’ “
