Here at Nashua Community College, we have a variety of avenues for students to become familiar with the campus, resources, and the online platforms used when you are a student here.
Students are required to attend whichever version of Orientation best fits their needs.
Please sign up for an Orientation date below!
Orientation Opportunities Include:
- New Students Day!
These are large day Orientations. New Students are welcome to join our campus for a day of fun and engagement including a presentation, introductions, breakout sessions, and food! New students are welcome to bring a guest.
- Express Orientation!
There will be Express Orientations in the Library the week before and the week of the semester starting, for students who are unable to attend New Students Day. The schedule will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 12pm-1pm and Thursday from 4pm-5pm.
- ESOL Express Orientation!
The ESOL Express Orientation is held in partnership with the NCC Department of Multicultural Engagement. This Orientation is held with English Speakers of Other Languages in mind! There are bilingual staff available during these sessions to help answer questions.
- Self-Paced Online Orientation through Canvas!
Canvas is the online platform students use to access their class information (like your assignments, syllabus, and homework.) We have created a Canvas Class for Orientation! All students regardless of how they prefer to attend Orientation, are given access to this class shortly after they are accepted. It is set up as a self-paced class, with short presentations to watch introducing you to the online platforms.
- Early College Express Orientation!
These orientations are specifically for “Early College” students – current high school students enrolled in courses at NCC. Held once a semester just prior to the semester start date, these orientations give Early College students a chance to meet other high school students attending NCC! Students will also access NCC’s online platforms and acclimate to campus and college life!
- Private Orientations
Available upon request, in person or via ZOOM, if the student has a conflict with all offerings above. Please feel free to email: [email protected] with your availability.
