Why choose Health Science?
The Associate in Science in Health Science has been designed for students who have a desire to work in the health care industry or allied health field. Complete your general education courses that are required for nursing, public health and other healthcare programs. At the end of the first year, students will have the option of transferring to another associate degree program to complete their course work in a specific field or continue on to receive their associate degree in Health Science. The second year can be flexible for students to choose courses that would then transfer to a four year college for a degree in Public Health or field of their choice.Why study Health Science here?
NCC offers different options to meet your goals. If you plan is to enroll in the NCC nursing program, you can follow the Health Science profile or the Pre-Nursing pathway. The Pre-Nursing pathway has specific criteria, which if met, will give you priority consideration for acceptance to our nursing program. If your interest lies with Public Health, we have a pathway to the University of Massachusetts – Lowell- for a bachelor’s degree in Public Health offering a track in Public Health Informatics Technology. Program Outcomes:
- Demonstrate the ability to properly write using medical terminology.
- Identify structural organization of the human body and body systems.
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate information pertaining to health, wellness, and disease.
- Discuss various trends in health care and social determinants impacting healthcare.
In addition, the graduate will be able to demonstrate competency in the general education outcomes.

Projected Growth
