Professor Susan Hughes, head of the Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) and Computer Engineering Technology at NCC, was presented with the Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence at this year’s Commencement Ceremony!
The EET degree prepares students for in-demand careers with local employers. Students and alumni are currently working with industry partners such as ESSCO Calibration Laboratory in Chelmsford, Mercury Systems in Hudson, BAE in Nashua/Manchester, and Allegro Microsystems in Manchester.
Recent graduates are also able to transfer to UNH-Manchester or UMass-Lowell for their bachelor degrees. The EET lab on campus is soon receiving all new equipment, and the program was recently awarded its ABET re-accreditation.
ABET accreditation ensures a college program has met standards to prepare grads to enter critical STEM fields in the global workforce.
