Nashua Community College has basic needs resources available to students on-campus, online – such as with the telehealth benefit, and through community partners.
Transportation
Free Bus Transportation: Students may ride the Nashua Transit System (NTS) buses for FREE with a campus ID. View bus routes and schedules.
· Ride Shares: The NCC app has a “ride share” feature for students looking to carpool with peers
· Bike Users: NCC has bike racks on the East and South sides of campus for bike users

Food Access and Food Insecurity
- Café 505 is the campus cafeteria open Fall and Spring terms, Monday – Thursday, 7:30 AM – 2 PM.
NCC supports one free meal per week for all students, rotating between weekdays. Check the weekly student calendar for details. - NCC has an on-campus food pantry in Room 202, Judd Gregg Hall, supported by donations and managed by the Student Support team – [email protected]
- The Student Support team is also in contact with a variety of community partners if students and their families would like help getting connected with additional resources regarding food insecurity
Housing and Housing Insecurity
Dorm Housing in Lowell, Mass.
Housing is available for students just over the border in nearby Lowell, Massachusetts. Called the Edge Merrimack River https://livewelledge.com/ (978-455-5220 ), the housing offers roommate matching services and a choice of individually leased one, two, and four-bedroom floor plans with separate keyed bedrooms, modern stylistic finishes, and gourmet kitchens. Apartments are fully furnished and include all utilities except electricity. Edge Merrimack River also has amenities on site such as private study rooms, a clubhouse with games, and fitness center.
Affordable Housing and Emergency Housing
Our Student Support Team is also in contact with community partners dedicated to finding affordable housing for local residents. Additional support is available for youth 26 years old and younger.

NCC and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua have partnered to offer NCC parents & caregivers the opportunity to sign their 4th – 12th grade students up for aftercare at the Boys & Girls Club.

Greater Nashua Continuum of Care: The Greater Nashua Continuum of Care (GNCOC), includes the City of Nashua and nine surrounding communities in Hillsborough County. The GNCOC is made up of nonprofit agencies (shelters, food pantries, transitional housing and permanent supportive housing agencies), service providers, the banking and business communities, faith-based organizations, veteran’s service agencies, welfare, educational institutions, youth organizations, representation from federal and state government, homeless or formerly homeless people and other concerned citizens. SNAP: The SNAP Program is about good nutrition and health. It provides eligible people with benefits to buy food items at grocery stores, farmers markets and other approved food retailers.
WIC: If you are pregnant or have young children up to the age of 5, you may be eligible for the WIC Nutrition Program. The New Hampshire Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) provides nutrition education and nutritious foods to help keep pregnant women, new mothers, infants and preschool children healthy and strong.
NH Bureau of Family Assistance: The Bureau of Family Assistance (BFA) administers programs and services for eligible NH residents by providing financial, medical, food & nutritional assistance, help with child care costs and emergency help to obtain and keep safe housing.

This resource is available for people struggling to find help with addiction and substance misuse disorder. The website offers self-help, mental health, and substance abuse resources that cater to individuals at any phase of their recovery journey as well as links to local treatment options like peer support groups and treatment centers.
