How to use Financial Aid at the Bookstore

Please note: The bookstore cannot access Financial Aid funds until 2 weeks before the start of the FULL term. We strongly encourage you to register for all of your semester classes before the start of the semester, so you may buy all your books at once. To see term start dates, please refer to the Academic Calendar

  1. Review your aid offer, and accept or decline any loans you’ve been offered. Please see this page for step by step instructions if you have not done so already.
  2. Review whether or not you have excess aid. Check this by going to SIS9 > View or Pay Account. You should see a “credit balance” on your account. The credit balance is the amount that you can use at the bookstore.
    1. If you do not see a “credit balance”, contact [email protected] for more information.
  3. Navigate to the bookstore website here.
  4. Enter your student ID number to find your books needed for your class.
  5. Select the books you want to purchase by clicking “Add to Bag”.
    1. Some books won’t have an option to add to bag, these are either “Follett Access” books or “Open Educational Resources”, and they are included with your tuition. You do not need to buy them from the store. Contact your instructor if you need assistance accessing these resources.
    2. You can also add supplies like notebooks, pens, and backpacks. If you need to buy a laptop, contact [email protected].
  6. Once you have everything you need added to your bag, click “View Bag & Check Out”

  7. Click the “Checkout” button.
    1. Depending on the type of book(s) you’re purchasing, you may need to create a bookstore account if you do not have one.
    2. If you opt for “Pickup”, you must pick up your books from the bookstore in CONCORD, NH. You cannot pick up your books at NCC. Check your receipt for details.
  8. When prompted for payment method, check the box for “Financial Aid”, enter your student ID # (your student ID # is on your Student ID card).

  9. Follow the remaining prompts to complete your order
  10. If you receive any error messages, contact the bookstore first at (603) 224 8231 before contacting the financial aid office.
