Prerequisite

Student must have prior use or knowledge of basic skills using Mastercam software, instructor may waive prerequisite.

  • Using rotary head 4th axis indexing
  • Axis substitution 4th axis revolving
  • Intro into 5th axis machining
  • 3+2 machining set up
  • Tool paths for 3+2
  • Strategies to machine complex parts
  • Understand the WCS, and how to use it
  • Surface model machining
  • Sweeping tool paths
  • Thread milling
  • Setting planes
