Although we do not offer an English language program for International Students, our ESOL services will help you improve your English and give you skills to accomplish your career goals. Our degree programs also give you the opportunity to transfer to other American colleges and universities.

Admission Requirements For International Students
Application and Fees
You must complete an application online and pay the $100 international student admission fee. International applications must be received 90 days in advance of expected entrance date and are reviewed as received.

Test Of English As A Foreign Language
If your native language is not English, you must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam and earn a score of 500 or better; a score of 173 or better on the computer-based test; or a score of 61 or higher on the internet-based TOEFL.
Please visit the TOEFL website for more information on the exam and where the TOEFL exam is given in your country. If you are currently in the United States seeking a student visa, NCC may waive the TOEFL requirement and administer the Accuplacer Placement Test.
Financial Support Documents:
A Financial Support Letter from the person(s) who will be financially responsible for your education and living expenses while studying at Nashua Community College is required. This person(s) will be called the sponsor. This letter must be in English and include your name, your intent to attend Nashua Community College, your sponsor’s relationship to you, the amount of money your sponsor has available for your expenses, your sponsor’s name and contact information, and your sponsor’s signature and the date the letter is signed. You will upload this document through the online application process.
Financial Institution Statement. A letter or bank statement from the financial institution that holds funds of the person(s) financially responsible for you as a student, your sponsor, is required. This statement must be on the institution’s official letterhead, indicate the sponsor’s name, detail the funds currently available stated in U.S. dollars, and be in English. Dollar amounts promised by the sponsor and available in the sponsor’s bank account need to cover a minimum of one year of education and living expenses. . You will upload this document through the online application process.
Additional Required Documents
You must submit copies of current passport and immigration documents. If you are currently in the United States, you must include current Visa and Duration of Status (D/S) card.
Upon satisfactory completion of the steps listed above and the receipt of all required documents, you will be notified of an admissions decision within 2 to 3 weeks. If you are accepted to NCC, you will receive a letter of acceptance and a request for a nonrefundable advanced tuition deposit of $100.
Once the tuition deposit is received, we will forward you Form I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility). The U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) requires Form I-20 for entry into the U.S. on a student F-1 visa. You will need to bring Form I-20 to the American embassy or consulate office in your home country to get the F-1 visa. Before you go to the embassy or consulate office, you must pay the I-901 fee. Before a Certificate of Eligibility for an F-1 visa can be issued, applicants must have submitted all documents required and be accepted into a full-time program (12 credits or more per semester). If you are already in the U.S., a change of status may be necessary.
Before attending classes at Nashua Community College, all International Students on an F-1 Visa must provide proof of health insurance.
