The Automotive Technology, Automotive Technology – Mazda Pathway and Honda Automotive Technology day and evening program for the 2024-2025 academic year are currently at capacity. While we still encourage you to apply, please note that your application will be waitlisted upon completion of turning in required documentation. Should a spot become available, your application will be reviewed by our admissions team for acceptance.
In the meantime, If you would like to begin completing your general education courses and electives that will count toward the Automotive program or Honda Automotive Technology Program, you can apply into the Liberal Arts Associate Degree for the term in which you wish to begin and our Admissions team will assist you with the transition to completing your automotive application.

The Honda Automotive Technology program, otherwise known as PACT (Professional Automotive Career Training) is a partnership among Nashua Community College, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and Honda/Acura Dealers.
This certificate is designed to train students for employment in Honda/Acura dealerships and to prepare them for ASE Master certification.
The training includes classroom theory, hands-on lab work, an internship at a dealer and general education components. The technical instruction at the College is conducted in a professionally equipped, modern facility.
American Honda supplies the program with vehicles, special tools, and access to technical data.

Upon the completion of the degree in Honda Automotive Technology, graduates will be able to:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and repair various automotive systems using ASE guidelines.
- Use technology and basic scientific principles for research and diagnostics.
- Employ industry relevant written and oral communication skills.
- Identify ethical repair procedures based on multiple factors.
- Be able to achieve ASE Master Certification after an additional year in the field.
In addition, the graduate will be able to demonstrate competency in the general education outcomes.
In addition to the general admission requirements, the PACT Program applicants should be aware of the following criteria:
- A minimum of one year of high school algebra is recommended. Basic skills in written English are required.
- A basic automotive tool kit and roll cabinet are required.
- After successfully completing all coursework in the first semester with a 2.0 GPA, students are then qualified for an internship. Students must maintain a CGPA of 2.0 to remain on internship.
- All PACT students are required to complete the internship.
- All PACT internships carry a per credit tuition charge.
- Students must be matriculated into the PACT program to take HATN courses.
- A copy of a valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required for admission to the PACT program. (See PACT Program Coordinator for details.)
