After struggling in high school, Mickey Croce went on to excel in college; eventually earning his Master’s Degree in Accountancy from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester. “Back around 2007 when I graduated from high school, I found myself without a path,” said Mickey, adding that he turned to NCC for a bridge to a degree.

“And NCC did something I didn't think was possible. It made me feel like I had potential, made me feel intelligent, made me feel like I belonged at an institution of education and that I was capable of great things. This was a major turning point in my life.”

After earning his associate degree in Business Management, Mickey went to UMass Lowell and received two bachelor’s degrees, one in Finance and one in Accounting. “I was the President of Beta Gamma Sigma, the business honor society and graduated Magna Cum Laude.” After UMass, he went to the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester for his Master’s Degree in Accountancy.

“I was nominated and received the Dean's Leadership award for my work as the President of the Simon Accounting Society as well as graduated with honors. After Simon, I accepted a job a PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Advisory Practice.”

Mickey’s currently an Associate at Madryn Asset Management in New York City where he works closely with the Firm’s CFO and Investment Team to actively support the Firm’s investment portfolio through deal model development and valuation analysis. He’s also responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, fundraising, and investor relations.

Prior to working at Madryn, Mickey worked at Innovation Endeavors, a Venture Capital Firm, focused on early stage disruptive technology companies. At Innovation, Mickey was responsible for Asset Management over an 80+ investment portfolio as well as operational responsibilities.

Before his time at Innovation, Mickey worked at PwC and KPMG, Big 4 accounting firms in Advisory and Audit roles, respectively. The Big 4 accounting experiences gave him the skills and tools necessary to be successful in the highly competitive work environments of New York City Finance.

Mickey currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Cosmopolitan Soccer League, the largest amateur soccer league in the United States; and serves on the Board of Directors of Latent Knowledge, a startup technology company that uses machine learning and language processing to perform high quality internet content searches.
